Used to be….

I’m looking at my hands, my face, my legs, and my feet and, well really, my whole body, and I’m thinking WTF happened.  My throat hurts.  Really.  Like, in the I think I have toungue and/or throat cancer sort of way.  My hair is brittle.  My hands are crippled and wrinkley looking.  

Something is wrong.  I think I may need professional help.  I’m going to check out holistic health farms. 

I used to be pretty, healthy, and had the hands and legs of a model.  This current me is no me.


Day 7

I made a new juice this morning: beet (peeled), carrots, lemon (not peeled) and a little ginger. It was a lot better than expected. 

Very messy though. 


Day 6

February 28th, 2016

Well days 4 and 5 were busted. Day 4 turned into a bad day with vodka. Vodka is bad.  Day 5 turned into a road trip south with sushi for dinner.  The good news is that it didn’t effect the weight loss too much as I was down 4 pounds.  

I’m really (really) tired today and after my errands I actually napped for two hours.  I don’t even have the energy to write this post.

Day 3 has been tough

It’s not that I’m hungry so much as I crave meat and rice and a cocktail. My soup turned out ok, in fact two of my boys ate it for dinner as well (!).  I just do not do well with self deprivation. 

My results are okay so far. I was down almost 4 pounds today which is pretty awesome. 

The best part of the diet today was probably my juice this morning (?). I used 6 carrots (probably needed several more) and about   1/2 inch of ginger. It was really good!  

Also, I am really enjoying my morning walk. While I hate waking up so early, I’m finding that it is really a mood booster and is totally helping my step count.

Day 2 complete

February 24th, 2016

I spent the day pretty grumpy!  I couldn’t get any energy and was tired.  But, for some reason by 8 pm I got a second wind.  I don’t think I have really made any progress as far as weight loss is going, but I guess I do feel a little better about bloat and gross.  

Juice today was pretty good:

1 Apple

1 celery stalk

1.5 handful of greens

.5 cucumber

I also got a crock pot of veggies and spices together so I can add water and put it on to cook.

1 onion

6 carrots

10 or so celery stalks

Plus a spice blend:

1 tablespoon paprika

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon dried oregano

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 tablespoon dried basil

2 teaspoons dried thyme

1 1/2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper

1 1/2 teaspoons fine grain sea salt

I’ll add water in the morning and about an hour before eating, I will add a bunch of kale.
