Breaking Day 6

February 3rd, 2008

Well, I am pretty much broke. I still have not partaken in red meat, but I have had everything else and am eating normal foods. My main problem is that I am not having bowel movements and I am thinking about finishing up my herbal cleanse tablets. I have also put 4.5 pounds back on, but I don’t know if that’s TOM or what. Regaining all that weight is not an option.

I skipped yoga this morning because my back has been bothering me and I don’t want to over do it…but, I took my mom out to dinner tonight for her birthday and now I feel super guilty. Even though I only ate 1/2 of my meal, I ate 2 pieces of bread and the chicken milano was super saucy. Oh! I drank two glasses of diet Coke, and I must say, it was AWESOME! I didn’t think I had missed it that much, but I guess I did.

Today, I watched the Biggest Loser UK marathon. Too funny! Did you know they weigh in stones there? Crazy. British people must be really good at math, or do they just not try to translate to pounds all the time? I don’t know, but every time someone weighed, we were trying to convert it to pounds. Me for example? I weigh 160 pounds or 11 stones 6 pounds.

Breaking Day 5

February 1st, 2008

Somehow, I got ahead of the breaking schedule, and added eggs yesterday, so today would be white meat. I had an egg sandwich again this morning. Yum. I am am up a pound and 1/2, which is sad for me, but I think it has more to do with women’s issues than diet, because I have been eating smart.

I realized how committed I am to this when I made NS pasta primavera last night and it was awesome! If I can detox for three weeks, I can totally eat NS food for 3 months.

Breaking Day 4

January 31st, 2008

I’m feeling pretty good today. I made it to the gym and did 30 minutes on the treadmill and 15 minutes strength training. When I got home I had a great breakfast! A whole grain English muffin with laughing cow cheese and an egg. Yummy! I am so happy to be eating again. I also had my first swig of coffee in a month. It was like a taste of heaven.

Best of all, I have been maintaining my weight loss! I have been terrified that I’d gain some of it back, but so far so good.

Breaking Day 3

January 30th, 2008

I’m feeling pretty good right now, except my hands and lips are so dry! I don’t know how I could possibly be dehydrated given all the fluids I get? Today was adding grain day, so I had a rice bowl at lunch (Red Robin)… Technically, I shouldn’t have eaten the white rice, but brown wasn’t an option. I was a good girl and got the vegetarian version and I was stuffed about 1/4 of the way through. Overall, I think it was a good choice.

I’ve had a pretty bad headache today, but I don’t dare take any thing. I hope it goes away soon. 🙁

Breaking Day 2

January 29th, 2008

We did not get snowed in like the news said. Bummer. Now I have to go to work.

I was down another pound this morning which is nice. Also, since I overslept and didn’t make it to the gym, I had plenty of time to mix up a protein shake. Man that was good! Tastes like chocolate milk. I guess I’ll need to stop and get some fruit for lunch, I was really hoping it was who grain day, but I can wait one more day.

My biggest dilemma is that I need to eat all the Nutrisystem food I have in the cupboard, but it is all processed (and not so great tasting either) foods. I want to eat better now that I am all toxin free, but that stuff cost a lot of money.

I wonder if healing crisis can pop up when the detox is over? Yesterday, after I ate my veges for lunch, I got this terrible pain in my lower back. It hurts so bad that I can barely sit here. Guess I’ll ask around the 21 Day maintenance boards.
