Day 1

March 20th, 2013

Today is the first day of the 21 day detox.

Starting weight: 150.5
Starting waist: 37 inches
Starting mood: feeling pretty cranky and tired. I’ve had this terrible cough and it kept me up most the night. I have a feeling that no smoking will help that…

I’ll be going to the store to stock up on some veggies to make some soup and fresh juice.

21 days seems a loooong time at this point.


21 pounds…again!

Yep, I’m going to do the 21 pounds in 21 days cleanse again! This time I am doing with a girlfriend. I am actually looking forward to it. I remember how light I felt after the first time. The plan is to do it right before I leave for out of town. I’ll have to set up for it because I think we are starting right after St Patrick’s Day.


Ugh

February 27th, 2013

Just when I was getting better from the Barre class, I hurt my body again in the step class! This sucks. I am 1) way too un-fit or 2) way too old. I wish there was a magic cure for my back it hurts so bad. My arms and legs are just out of shape.

So far this weeks workouts have been Saturday – cleaning at the office; Sunday – cleaning at the house; Monday – step aerobics (and bowling, but I think the 2 beers canceled out any benefit there); Tuesday – aqua kickboxing and lap swimming. Tomorrow will be Barre again if I get done with work in time and Thursday should be swimming and aqua Pilates.

I have done very well with food choices, but I will admit that I was going to go to happy hour today but went to the gym instead. One win for me!


Ho hum

I’ve been having a pretty crappy day today. Ate a super yummy Philly sandwich and fries for lunch which I know is super calorific and now I am wanting a drink. I do plan to go to step aerobics in the morning and hopefully work some of it off.

The weekend will pretty much be a bad food weekend since I am having a vodka infusion party on Sunday. Guess I need to plan on a few extra workouts to make up for it!

Apparently the American Council on Exercise recommends sticking with your weekday workout schedule to avoid the weekend naughtiness.


Ouch!

I am so so sore today from the Barre class! It has been difficult to do anything, such as pick up my coffee cup and get in and out of my small car. I went to aqua Pilates thinking it wouldn’t be as difficult, and while it was nice to be in the water, OMG I am almost worse that before.

Had a bad eating day to boot… We stopped at McDonald’s and of course I went for the Quarter Pounder meal for a whopping 890 calories. Next time that is the destination, I will go for the Grilled Chicken sandwich (dry) and a side sale for 370 total. Not only was the meal high in calories, it made me sick to my stomach. Lesson learned.
