With day 1 of course!

Health news: Although the scale has not really moved, I have put on some weight. I had to go to a funeral yesterday and I could not fit into ANYTHING! Ugh.

During my weekly $500 Costco trip, I picked up a new blender. We went with the Ninja. I sure hope this was a good choice. I think I can now make smoothies and stuff.

For the, uhm, I don’t know, 10th time, I am doing the 17 Day Diet. Must. Lose. This. Weight.

I decided to bite the bullet and go to the doctor for some Chantrex to quit smoking. I don’t really want to quit, if I’m being honest, but I really need to.

Home front news: Spring Break has begun and with it spring cleaning shall commence. Project 1 will be the pantry. I will also have to clean my room because my new fly app says that this is bedroom week.


Just a little brag…

So I got a Fitbit on the new year and have been averaging about 8000 steps a day when my goal is 10000. Today, when it was time to go to bed and I only had 9000, I decided to climb aboard the elliptical machine I had to have but have used maybe 4 times in the 5 years or so I have owned it and marched out the last 1000 steps. Yea me!


Gratitude List

So, yeah, I bought yet another diet book because you know the 20 or so that I have are not enough…. This one is a paleo guide. One of the points is that a less stressful life is a healthier life (uh, really? Who would have thought?).

Anyway, according to Jonny Bowden’s “…Nine Habits of Highly Healthy People” # 7 is to practice gratitude. One way to practice gratitude is to make a gratitude list. What the heck…?

Things I Am Grateful For

1) cute, smart, good kids
2) helpful husband
3) my dog
4) my parents and in-laws
5) house to live in

Well it only took me 27 days to get to the gym and now I’ve been 2 days in a row. Yea me!

I’m trying to shut out the little voice that tells me that if I can’t make it to a class I should skip the gym and go anyway.

I’m looking for gym mp3s that coach you through a machine workout.

I can tell I’ve gained a ton of weight. I just dont get how you can make absolutely no changes to your diet and gain/lose weight.  It’s so sad.
