Oops I did it again

January 4th, 2016

Yeah, so I totally tanked my go at 21 day fix.  I did so great week one, and then…  I’m starting again tomorrow and I ordered the Whole 30 plan from Acme Farms so I’m committed.  The hard part, as usual will be no alcohol.  I also planning to quit smoking again.  I’m going to do it a little different this time and I’m not taking measurements or weight.  Instead, I’m going to rely solely on how I feel and how my clothes fit.

Here’s to the new year!

Day 7 – stats day

December 6th, 2015

Finished!  Completed a week.  Yay!  Even though I had a setback on Day 5 (an embarrassing amount of alcohol), overall I feel good about the accomplishments.

Workout summary:

Monday – total body cardio

Tuesday – upper body

Wednesday – lower body + bike/treadmill with trainer

Thursday – Pilates + ballet

Friday – step aerobics

Saturday – cardio + dirty 30

Sunday – yoga

Measurements:

Bust -2.5

Chest -3

Arm /

Waist -3.5

Stomach -2

Hips -3

Thighs -.25

Calves /

Weight -.2

Summary:

I’m unhappy about the weight, but I’ll chalk that up to nature and booze. If I can just make it 2 more weeks, I’ll be satisfied.  This week I need to focus on the food.

Day 3 – done

December 3rd, 2015

Made it almost through Day 3 (lower fix). I couldn’t help myself and I weighed this morning…down 3 pounds. I attribute this to 1) TONS of water and 2) no alcohol. Yesterday was tough as Tuesday is generally happy hour day. Today was also a “doubles” day because I meet my personal trainer at the gym on Wednesdays. We did a combo of 10 minutes bike and 5 minutes treadmill x 3 plus cool down for a 60 minute workout. Wowser! I totally had a workout adrenaline high until about 10:30 am when my 5 am wake-up started to get to me. A healthy lunch at 11:30 fixed that.

My Fixate cookbook came along with the Bento Lunch Boxes. I can’t wait to prep some meals! I’m usually all about the planning and not so great on the follow through.

I’m super excited about this program. Contact me if you’re interested! Check out the 21 Fix program and see for yourself.

NSV

December 1st, 2015

So, I thought I should share some recent non-scale victories that have occurred over the last few months rather than more Debbie Downer posts.

Although I am not a huge sweets eater, I do occasionally imbibe on cakes, ice cream, candies and cookies and such. Especially this time of year when, hot off the tail of Halloween, we have five birthdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Well, this year, I have managed to not eat even one piece of Halloween candy, or even one bite of pumpkin pie, and I only had two small bites of one of the birthday cakes.

Cool, right?

Happy Birthday!

November 30th, 2015

Every year about this time I get all ready to try once again to lose weight.  Sadly, instead of continuing to lose weight, I have gained 7 pounds since my 2014 status.  Really, I have gained 20 pounds total net in the last 12 months. I’m so mad at myself.

This year, I really need to make progress.  I got rid of all my “fat” clothes and I am barely fitting in my new clothes.  I am not going to buy new “fat” clothes.

Here’s the plan:  1). No alcohol for 25 days (birthday excluded); 2) do the 21 day fix plan; 3) do a 5 day cleanse beginning 12/19. Hopefully that will take care of 10 pounds.

This *should* get me back to 2014 weight status by the new year.

Wish me luck!
