dieting is hard

I think the hardest thing to give up will be beer. We usually go to the pub after work at least once a week and I like to drink beer on the weekends… Last night, I over did it and drank at least a 6 pack (or more) by myself during the BBQ… I am pretty sure that beer drinking is not conducive to weight loosing.

I just checked and my NS food left Redmond at 4:19 am so I am sure it will be here tomorrow (maybe even today, I don’t know if it stops here again before getting to my house or what, I imagine so?)

I am so ready to lose this ugly fat. I feel really rotten.

change will do you good

so…I don’t even remember adding a blog to this site…but here it is. I’ve been making a lot of changes in my life and I thought I could start an online journal to document them?

1) I quit smoking on June 17, 2006. According to my “quit meter” my progress so far is as follows:

I quit 2 Weeks, 14 hours, 2 minutes and 17 seconds (14 days) ago. I have saved $75.10 by not smoking 291 cigarettes. I have saved 1 Day and 15 minutes of my life. My Quit Date: 6/17/2007 8:00 AM

Cool, eh? This has been really really (did I say really?) hard.

I found a really great support group at about.com; but I am not sure I have connected with anyone yet.

2) I joined NutraSystem on July 1, 2007 with the hope of losing some of this weight (or at least not gaining any weight due to my “quit”) I expect my food to be here by 7/6 and I am really excited.

I don’t have a “loser meter” and I am a bit shy about posting my stats for the world to see here, but what the heck…
