the perfect day

May 26th, 2008

You know the old saying, “if you see it and believe it the you will achieve it”? well, that’s my theme for today. It’s a new week, and there’s no reason I can’t have the kind of days I believe I want.

My ideal day would look something like this:

Get up at 5 and go to the gym (why 5? have to take out the dog and eat breakfast and get there on time).

Attend class of the day from 6 to 7 (Monday = step aerobics, Tuesday = weight lifting; Wednesday = water aerobics; Thursday = on my own (which means treadmill, cross trainer and rowing); Friday = step aerobics) — If it’s Saturday and I have nothing else to do, then I’ll go to dance and yoga.

Come home and do Lean, Long & Strong: The 6-Week Strength-Training, Fat-Burning Program for Women

Go to work (okay, so this is really not a part of my ideal day, but I gotta do it).

Come home around 3:30 and have time with the kids, or catch up on house stuff.

Around 5:30, I cook a fabulous, healthy dinner that everyone eats without complaining.

At 8:30 go for a run because I am a marathoner.

Come home and get ready for bed feeling fine.

Get a good night’s sleep. Ahh…

MasterCook

May 25th, 2008

I am by far no MasterCook! Ha! But, I have been reading about this program on the various Weight Watcher support sites and maybe, just maybe, if I use it I can become one! 🙂

Check out MasterCook Deluxe 9.0. I ordered mine today and I can’t wait for it to get here! I can put in all my favorite recipes and not even think about it. I also joined the Yahoo! Group and learned that it will recalculate the recipe for you to adjust for servings. Say you have a favorite recipe that serves 4 and you want to make it for 400…Just tell MasterCook and it gives you the new measurements. Also, you can tell it what you plan to cook for each week/day/whatever and it will create a shopping list! Too cool.

hypnotherapy for weight loss

May 24th, 2008

Call me crazy, but I just ordered a weight loss hypnotherapy program. Yikes! It has a one-year money back guarantee, so I sure hope it’s worth it. *bites nails*

I used hypnotherapy to quit smoking, so I am somewhat hopeful….

mental

May 24th, 2008

I’ve decided I must have some kind of mental block thing going on and that’s why I can’t get this weight loss thing done. I actually looked at, and am considering buying, weight loss hypnosis MP3s. I believe I have come to a scary all time low.

I am going to do another 21 day detox starting on Wednesday. This time, a colleague from work is going to do it with me (or, I should say, I said I’d do it with her). I am pretty excited. The last time, I felt so much better. It should clear out all this gunk I’ve built up since January and bring me into the the 140s. I intend to juice this time — for real. I plan to come home for lunch and break out the juicer, or maybe I’ll take the juicer to the office? I don’t know yet.

I want to be thinner and healthier. I want to fit into normal clothes.

another month down!!

May 18th, 2008

Yesterday was my 11 month anniversary of quitting smoking!! I meant to post my stats yesterday, but I completely forgot.

I quit 11 Months, 22 hours and 56 minutes (335 days) ago. I have saved $1,730.16 by not smoking 6,719 cigarettes. I have saved 3 Weeks, 2 Days, 7 hours and 55 minutes of my life. My Quit Date: 6/17/2007 8:00 AM

I can’t believe it has been this long. The thing is, I still want to go buy a pack and light up. I don’t know why. I am jealous when I see someone smoking and wish it was me. I won’t go do it, of course, but I feel the urge. I know it’s just the nico-demons trying to get me…..
