tailbone = misery

May 24th, 2009

I injured my tailbone, and when I say that I mean I really really injured it. Sitting hurts, standing hurt, laying down hurts, walking hurts, running hurts…basically being awake hurts right now.

My husband thinks this i some ply to make his life miserable, but trust me, I would not wish this pain on anyone. I’ve tried ice, I’ve tried Ibuprofen, I’ve tried not sitting….nothing works. Please, please, if you have any ideas, help me!

Bodybugg

May 23rd, 2009

Yesturday was my first day using the Bodybugg! It’s pretty neat and, surprisingly, you can’t really tell it’s there. I did not eat well since we were at the hospital all day, but I guess it’s good in a way to see how I really do on a “bad” day.

I plan to give up Weight Watchers because I do not feel like it’s working for me. Besides, one can only log their food so many times.

On the workout front I have been faithfully going to the gym!! I have been trying spinning by but I injured my tailbone so badly that I can barely tolerate the pain.

this is it

I went to be at 9 pm last night and got 8.5 hours of sleep Wow, that feels good. I woke up at 5:30 am so I could do week 1 day 1 of Couch 2 5K (again). My partner didn’t show up, but that’s okay – I stuck to it anyway and made it through. I realized that I really need to get new shoes and a re-run stretch routine.

Tonight is Boot Camp – wish me luck.

workout fool

I’ve made a renewed commitment to working out and losing this weight. I know, I know, I’ve said hat before, but this time, I hired a personal trainer and signed up for a “boot camp” class and agreed to ride to the gym with a neighbor – so really, I have no choice but to go. I also re-uped weight watchers and go to that on Wednesday.

This week was pretty good but I am really sore. Monday was warm-up and swimming; Tuesday was walk/jog + treadmill + boot camp; Wednesday was personal trainer; Thursday was boot camp; and today was water aerobics. Wow! Haven’t done this much in the last 6 months combined.

new plan

okay, I know what you’re going to say…I am a loser. My pal and I decided to quit the detox and focus on plain old healthy eating. We’re still going to do the green drinks and juicing for the healthful benefits.

I’ve done so many dumb things in the past, but I really need to lose this weight. I can’t do it by eating shipped foods I don’t like or not chewing. I need to learn how to fit more exercise in and eat better portions.
