Back in the saddle
March 29th, 2011I joined the gym again now that baby is here. It felt great to get a workout in yesturday. I just need to find the motivation to go today.
I joined the gym again now that baby is here. It felt great to get a workout in yesturday. I just need to find the motivation to go today.
So, in no particular order, I resolve to work on the following this year….
1) get to church more regularly – don’t let the others keep me from not going just because they don’t want to
2) knit from stash/avoid buying new stuff
3) organize the kids’ rooms
4) lose excess weight
5) use reusable grocery bags – every time
6) pay off debt/use the financial peace tools
7) hire a house cleaner
8 ) stop random spending
9) save up and get basement living room furniture & a pool table (!)
10) work more effectively by honing time management skills
The pregnancy has not been going so well. A month ago I was diagnosed with hypertension and put on bed rest. Slowly the hypertension eased up and has been controlled with medicine – just in time for a diagnoses of gestational diabetes.
He can safely be born after 6 more weeks and I tell you it cannot come fast enough!
I haven’t been on here since the end of May. That’s because I found out the reason I was getting nauseous during body makeover was because I am pregnant! Ack! We found out on June 3rd via a HPT (home pregnancy test) and confirmed it later that week at the doctor’s office. I just couldn’t believe it. I am 36 years old with 5 kids already. This was so not planned.
My weight loss goals have obviously been tabled. I do plan to pick it up again next year. The baby should be here sometime near the end of January. So…I have had to focus on healthy pregnancy.
This is shaping up to be a great week! I went to church yesterday (even though I didn’t want to leave the house) and I went to the gym today (even though I didn’t want to leave the house). I feel pretty good.
My downfall lately has been coffee creamer. I was always a black coffee drinker, but lately I have been hooked on Coffeemate French Vanilla creamer. Yum! The problem is that it has 30 calories per table spoon.
