Puriam

November 22nd, 2014

Okay, so I did it and paid a lot of money for a 10 day cleanse. The plan is to begin on December 1st. I’ve got a lot going on party wise between now and then, so let’s just see how much damage control I can do in the meantime! (Have a whole month worth of NS in the pantry…yes that’s right…A WHOLE MONTH)

I’ve lost it!

November 10th, 2014

No, not pounds, but my resolve and drive. It’s awful. The last several months have been one defeat after another. I really have to find anew my mojo and get back on track.

This week I plan to stick to Nutrisystem 100% and get in at least 5 hours of workout time.

Again, really?

September 24th, 2014

I get myself so excited about a new weight loss program and exercise routine and then after a couple of months I peter out. Why? I don’t know. Self-sabotage maybe? Once again, a month has gone by, I have been crazy in overindulgence and I have not been exercising like I should.

Also, as I was sitting here trying to decide if I was going to go out to lunch or eat the crap I have here, I calculated how much I spend eating out and it is pretty insane. If you calculate the amount in cigarettes as well, it goes to astronomically insane.

Must. Do. Better. And Try. Harder.

New resolve

August 24th, 2014

I’ve got to set myself up for success for the 30 day challenge. I was going to start September 1st but I think I will start tomorrow instead. I have a lot to do.

I have one pack of cigarettes on hand and I really need to quit after this because I can’t be a runner and a smoker at the same time. I am also committing to my 5 hours minimum workouts a week. I really need to make the running clinics a priority as well since I paid for it. I also have two very long bike rides on the calendar.

I expect to lose at least 20 pounds in this 30 days. I will finish the Nutrisystem food I have on hand for sure and then I don’t know what I will do. I am not sure about signing up for another month or whether I should do something else… I can always do the South Beach or maybe even the 17 Day. Or, I could give the Fat Flush another go. I almost wish I didn’t have the NS on hand because I may be more successful on a whole foods plan vs a processed foods plan.

It’s so hard! I really have messed up over this past month. It’s a shame really.

stuck

August 21st, 2014

So, it’s no secret I have been gaining and losing the same 10 pounds since June. It sucks.

September marks a new beginning. It’s the fall, when the trees lose their leaves getting ready for winter and fresh growth next spring. It’s the beginning of a new school year. Work picks up a bit before the holidays and it sure would be nice to get these pounds off and keep them off.

So, starting September 1, I am going to do a 30 day challenge…

1. Cut out all soda and alcohol
2. Drink at least 110 ounces of water a day PLUS one glass before each meal.
3. Cut out processed foods.
4. Work out 5 times per week, including 3 cardio days and 2 strength days
