Day 1 – clutter cleanup

September 2nd, 2013

Okay, so day 1 includes the following:

1) coat closet

The box that says “mugs” has been up there since we moved in back in 2003. I don’t even know what is in there!

2) laundry room/pantry

These are sadly the same room. We also have to keep the garbage/recycle in there to keep the dog and baby out it. Our family is too big for the nicely contained under the sink options….

3) kitchen

This is always a work in progress! The island counter is the families main junk collection area. I’ve tried and tried to keep it organized but never with any luck.

De-Clutter Challenge

September 2nd, 2013

Well, I was going to work on getting my house organized anyway, so why not join a challenge?

I struggled with where to put this challenge, here, or at canonical, but since home de-clutter is like self-help, I figured on this site would be best.

Since I am starting tomorrow, I will start tomorrow….

Day…Whatever

March 27th, 2013

So yeah, 2 of us gave up and met for some real food and a drink yesterday. Our 3rd has been a real trouper and hanging in there.

Today I felt pretty awful and have been sick to my tummy. I kept my calories down and barely ate anything and feel a little better than I did after the drinks – but still pretty bad. I would like to lose this last 6-7 pounds before I leave on a trip so I plan to stick somewhat to the cleanse but have a small dinner. I just don’t have any energy without any protein (and, you know, food).

Tomorrow is barre class which is a real killer. According to a few of the calorie counting websites, you burn between 250 and 400 calories per class. I don’t know for sure (sometimes I wish I still had the BodyBugg) but I know I burn a lot. The class is probably the hardest class I have ever done. Barre is like ballet, Pilates and yoga in one and you work up a serious sweat. It’s addictive. I think I may have mentioned this workout before.

After seemingly gaining and losing 3 pounds in one day, I’ve been afraid to check the scale, but I do feel s,Allen at any rate. I am loving fitting into smaller clothes. I would be so very happy to get to my goal weight.

Day 5

March 25th, 2013

Weight: unknown
Mood: blah

I’m not doing so well sticking to this plan. I’ve been keeping to around 400 calories a day, but have been sneaking bites here and there. Feeling pretty depressed about the whole thing. I am pretty sure my pals are sticking to it.

The soup I made today was super spicey but over all not too bad as far as taste goes. It was red potatoes, celery, onion with pepper, cumin and rosemary. I guess cumin is a spice? I must look it up. Thank goodness I cheated and chewed it because there would have been no way I could have eaten it had it been blended.

I think I will try to make it until Wednesday and then switch to the 17 day diet. I must begin eating again…. If I can just lose 7 more pounds, I will be in maintenance mode.
