single mom’in it
So, my husband is out of town and I’m a single mom for a few days. I totally told my kids they could have cupcakes for dinner last night. It has all the food groups, right? Okay, okay, I made them eats some healthy stuff as well…it was breakfast for dinner for them with ham, eggs and toast with milk and cupcakes for desert… My daughter did make them from scratch so that’s slightly better.
I had asparagus and a NS lasagna (who on earth puts beans in lasagna?!?). It really wasn’t bad. I must say that the quality and taste of the NS foods has vastly improved since 2007. There has really been only one thing I didn’t care for and I think that if I had cooked it in my little lunch crock with some veggies, it would have been much better. Over all, I can see myself making it for this two months with no problem. The breakfasts do make me a little jittery. I’m not sure what about them does that.
I actually love the shakes. There are a lot of complaints about them on the support forums, but I find them tasty and satisfying. I think the trick is cold water and once this Fast 5 is over, I think I may be able to even use milk.
I am still very stoked about my bicycle. I wish I had someone to ride with. I am determined to get up my little hill and I think I will practice again tonight. I did not make it to the gym yesterday and I don’t think I will today either. BUT, Couch to 5K was a tad easier yesterday and I will do it today no matter what. It is so much better having an accountability partner. Tonight is golf and I may start the p90x3, we’ll see.
Exhaustion is still getting me down, but I am hopeful that once I increase my calorie intake that will subside a bit.
If you’ve been following this, you’ll know I have been struggling with Plantar Fasciitis. My chiropractor and massage therapist have been giving me tips to treat it without medical intervention. So today’s helpful hints relate to this.
If you’re suffering from Plantar Fasciitis get a golf ball and roll your foot around on it. Follow this up by rolling your foot around on a Gatorade or otherwise similarly bumpy bottle frozen with water inside. Apparently, this will really help. I’ve also got an appointment to get fitted for custom inserts for my running shoes. Please pray for me that this cures it.
